Meet Cosmin Mahadev Singh

We recently connected with Cosmin Mahadev Singh and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cosmin, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

My focus has never been on being “the only one in the room that looks like me.” Comparing and competing often lead to distraction and confusion. Instead, I chose to stay focused, keep moving forward, and strive for excellence. When you choose a spiritual path—especially one centered on self-realization—you are often going against the current of the Matrix. Over the years, I’ve learned that you don’t need everyone to agree with you. Stay authentic, do the work, serve others, and the results will speak for themselves.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a Kundalini Yoga & Meditation teacher, founder of RYK Yoga & Meditation Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and RYK Spiritual Retreat & Training Center in North Carolina. This is what I have dedicated my life to for almost two decades. It is not a hobby, a side project, or simply something I do—it is my path and dedication in this lifetime.

Through RYK, we offer Kundalini yoga & Meditation classes, teacher trainings, Reiki trainings, workshops, community events, private sessions and spiritual retreats. We host retreats in North Carolina, India, and Bali, creating opportunities for people to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.

Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to bring these teachings into the corporate world through wellness programs, conventions, trade shows, and yoga festivals throughout the US and beyond. Whether I am teaching a class of fifty students, leading a retreat on the other side of the world, or offering a meditation at a large convention, the purpose remains the same: to help people become more aware, more conscious, and more connected to their true nature.

What excites me most is seeing people transform. Physical health improves, stress decreases, relationships become healthier, and life becomes more meaningful. But beyond all of that, I am most interested in helping people awaken to who they truly are. That is the essence of yoga.

Looking ahead, we continue to expand our trainings, retreats, and educational offerings. Upcoming projects include a Gong training, Yoga Nidra teacher training, a Pranayam training, expanded Ayurveda teachings and services, and new international retreat destinations, including Nepal, Tibet and other spiritually significant locations around the world.

At the end of the day, everything we do comes back to the same goal: helping people live healthier, happier, and more conscious lives while moving closer to self-realization.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I would say three things made the biggest difference in my journey.

First, *”perseverance**. There were many times when things did not move as quickly as I wanted them to, but growth takes time. Keep showing up, keep doing the work, and trust the process.

Second, **trust**. Trust that you are being taken care of. Do your best, give your full effort, and don’t become attached to the outcome. Worry consumes a lot of energy that could be used for action, growth, and service.

Third, **consistency**. Stay continuous in your efforts. Over time, consistency builds trust, credibility, and character. People will trust you before they even meet you because they can feel the steadiness of your work and presence.

My advice to anyone early in their journey is simple: don’t look for shortcuts. Find something meaningful, commit to it, and stay with it long enough to experience its depth. Most people give up too soon.

Keep up, and you’ll be kept up!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely. The planet is a big place, and there are countless opportunities to serve, grow, and make a positive impact. We are always open to connecting with individuals and organizations that share similar values and a desire to help people live healthier, more conscious, and more meaningful lives.

Whether it’s wellness events, retreats, educational programs, corporate wellness initiatives, community projects, or other opportunities to serve, we’re always interested in meaningful collaborations.
