Performing reiki healings
During a Reiki session, the person receiving Reiki will lie down or sit comfortably, fully clothed, while the practitioner places his hands lightly on or a few inches over the person’s head and body. The energy is channeled through the practitioner’s hands into the receiver’s body and aura.
A Reiki treatment is commonly described as a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Many describe feelings of relaxation and feelings of peace, and security.

Reiki originated with Dr. Mikoa Usui of Japan in the late 1880s. Dr. Usui went on a spiritual quest to rediscover a universal healing energy. After fasting and meditating at the foot of Mount Kuriyama for 21 days, the doctor received the tradition of Reiki. He opened several clinics in Japan, helping those in need.
Dr. Usui’s system for natural healing spread from there, eventually coming to Hawaii in the 1930s and to other Western countries soon after. Today, it has gained popularity and acceptance by many who see it as optimal therapy for promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

While Reiki is most traditionally performed in person, we also offer Reiki distance healing, which is a no-contact form of healing that can be done from anywhere in the world.
