Join Music Industry veteran and Sound Healer, Cheryl Terry to experience the life-changing impact of Sacred Songs, Mantras and Chakra Balancing. I just released my first Single “Heart of Stars” on CD baby with the intention of taking spiritual music mainstream. I call it “healing with a groove.” I believe that healing can take place in a temple and on the dance floor.
My workshop overview will provide a brief lecture on the power of music to heal our minds and our bodies. Visual and factual Information will be presented from both modern and indigenous cultures to illustrate our primordial connection with sound vibrations and their ability to change our frequencies to create a healing experience.
After the lecture, I will introduce the basic elements of sound and how they relate to the chakras. As a group, we will learn to sing the “Melody of the Chakras”, the meaning of each note and how they support us in living a happy life. We will do a guided toning exercise that students can use daily on their own, to harmonize the dissonance that causes psychological dysfunctional behavior and disease.
The final part of the workshop will feature my contemporary mantra infused, spiritual songs, “Heart of Stars” and “The Sound”,’ They are written in the keys that correspond with two of the most powerful chakras in our bodies: The key of C# Minor, for the Root Chakra and the key of G# Minor for the Throat Chakra. These two Chakras have been chosen because they represent the foundation of your life (Root Chakra) and your ability to speak your word to create the life you want in this world (Throat Chakra). We will go deep into these chakras learning to sing the mantras and move together in a group circle dance to fully integrate the healing experience into the Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Together we will Sing, Chant and Dance, recreating the spiritual communion of our ancestors to balance our frequencies and be restored to our authentic selves. At the end of our session, you will receive your astrological birth tone to practice at home along with the mantras from the songs you learned in class.
